In line with the expansion of La Gentiane School in Saint-Calixte in the Lanaudière region, Opaysage has been tasked with proposing a new layout for the schoolyard, which spans two levels.

Inspired by the ministerial document "A New Generation of Schools," which reflects our values ​​of educating children through the discovery of nature and play, concepts of mixed slope stabilization have been proposed by our team. This allows stones and trees to coexist, enabling young people to climb and explore while establishing a certain forested cover.

Within the existing woodland, the establishment of an outdoor classroom beneath the trees has been suggested, while playful pathways and a meeting area comprised of trees and stone benches facilitate play, discussion, and unique moments in the asphalted section of the courtyard.
